Surface Drive Screw Pumps


The Surface Drive Screw Pump (PC pump) is a new type of production equipment, which is consisted with surface drive equipment and downhole progressive cavity pump. The surface drive equipment transmits the power to the downhole through the rotating motion of sucker rod to drive the downhole progressive cavity pump. PC pump is a positive displacement pump whose rotor rotates within the stator and forms series of cavities which progress liquid gradually from the bottom (suction side) to the top (discharge side) and carry the formation fluids through the pump and into tubing.

Main Advantages:

1. Wide Well Fluid Range
Besides normal exploitation of conventional oil, the Surface Drive Screw Pumps can be used to viscous oil well with the viscosity≤8000mPa·s without taking other measures, including viscosity up to 60000mPa·s under measure of electric heating, watering, mixing viscosity reducer and so on, high wax bearing crude oil and high sand cut oil for the stator has resilience to sand.

2. No Gas Lock
The Surface Drive Screw Pumps can make the fluid move continuously and evenly, so solution gas can not be released out. At the same time, it’s impossible for gas lock due to no valves in the pump.

3. High Efficiency
System efficiency can be up to 70% for there are few moving parts, no valves and complex channels, little oil flow interference and low hydraulic loss.

4. Uniform Flow and Easily Adjusted
The Surface Drive Screw Pumps could be adjusted the pump flow easily by changing rotate speed of surface drive equipment.

5. Wide displacement Range
100rpm, daily production can be 1.59~380m3/d and more by increasing rotate speed.

6. Simple Operation and Low Cost
Simple surface equipment, compact design and low cost so the pump has the advantages of simple operation, little maintenance and lower work cost.
